Join us for the opportunity to meet and hear from both Iredell County school districts superintendents. 
Dr. Jason Gardner, Superintendent, Mooresville Graded Schools and Dr. Jeff James, Superintendent Iredell-Statesville Schools,
as they provide information on these hot topics:

  • The vision and strategic priorities for the districts
  • School performance and recent district accomplishments
  • Enrollment trends as Iredell County experiences continued growth
  • Renovation and new construction projects
  • Educational programs and initiative options for Iredell County students and families
  • School safety and security measures implemented to ensure the well-being of students and families

 

Dr. James GardnerDr. James Gardner, Superintendent, Mooresville Graded Schools

Dr. Gardner received his bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Concord University in West Virginia. 
He went on to earn a Master of School Administration from Appalachian State University and a Doctorate in
Educational Leadership from Wingate University.  Dr. Gardner presently serves as an adjunct professor in the
education department at Wingate University.  Dr. Gardner, his wife Meghan, and five children are residents of Mooresville. 
As a leader in his community, he is committed to ensuring that the Mooresville Graded School District provides an
environment where each and every student can reach their full potential.  

 


 

Dr. Jeff James, Superintendent, Iredell-Statesville Schools

Dr. Jeff James began his educational career with Iredell-Statesville Schools in 2002 as a special education teacher
at Statesville High School and later became a business technology instructor at Lake Norman High School.
He served as an assistant principal at South Iredell High School and later principal at Troutman Middle School. 
He is an Iredell County native and a graduate of West Iredell High School.  He obtained his Bachelor of Arts,
Master of Business Administration, and Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. 
He also holds a Master of School Administration from Gardner-Webb University and a Doctorate in Education Leadership
and Cultural Foundations from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
