Realtors® have been participating in the Realtors® Care Day project since 2009. We will be working specifically with the City of Charlotte, as well as area Habitat for Humanity organizations (Habitat Charlotte in Mecklenburg & Iredell counties, Haywood Habitat for Humanity, and Greater Matthews Habitat) to identify homeowners with critical repairs and new build efforts. In addition, we will be working with our local partners to assist in special needs projects. We’re estimating 350 Realtor® volunteers on Friday, April 19, who can commit to give a full day of volunteer service.
As part of our Realtors® Care Day efforts, Mecklenburg and Iredell counties will collect food items for Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and Haywood county will collect items for both Community Kitchen in Canton and Friends of the Haywood County Animal Shelter. More information is available.
