Program Description:

Take a deeper dive inside the groundbreaking, award-winning investigation "Long Island Divided" with one of the lead investigators, Bill Dedman.

The Newsday investigation revealed that Long Island's dominant residential real estate brokerages help reinforce racial segregation through illegal steering of customers.

Bill will shed light on how the tests were conducted and discuss major findings and implications on the topics of steering and sharing school information.

Don't miss this chance to expand your knowledge of how to ensure fair treatment of each and every client.

About the Speaker:

Pulitzer Prize winner and No. 1 bestselling author Bill Dedman was a lead reporter on Newsday's three-year investigation. Bill developed the methodology for the investigation, including recruiting, training, and deploying 25 testers with hidden cameras. He has spoken on fair housing and fair lending issues to the National Association of Realtors®, the Federal Reserve, HUD, and banking and real estate associations.
