As you can imagine, we have spent the last few days thinking through whether this year’s Realtors® Care Day should be held on April 24, 2020.
After an extensive discussion with the Association’s Executive Committee and the members of the Realtors® Care Day Project Committee, the decision was made to cancel this year’s event.
With not knowing what the future brings with COVID-19 and out of an abundance of caution for the, volunteers, community partners, staff and those individuals who reside or work at the various sites where we would be working, we believe it’s in the best interest of all to cancel.
In the meantime, we urge you all to join us in on Oct. 4, 2020, for the fifth annual Strides for Shelter 5K/Walk. Participants can enjoy the 5K, a Fun Run around the lake and a Kids Zone area. Proceeds from the race will benefit Hope House Foundation, whose mission is to provide transitional housing and supportive services to women and children who are experiencing homelessness in Mecklenburg County.
Registration is available at www.stridesforshelter5k.com, and pricing is currently at early-bird registration rates.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered this year for your willingness to work with the Canopy Housing Foundation to meet community needs, and we look forward to working with you in the future. Stay well and remember to assist others in need within the community during this great time of need!
