  America (SHIBA) report provides the most comprehensive annual data availa
 ble on the status of Black homeownership in America. The report shares tha
 t while African Americans in 2023 are gaining in significant areas they co
 ntinue to face substantial obstacles when seeking to purchase a home.\n	Th
 e National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) commissioned the fir
 st SHIBA Report in 2013. The comprehensive report provides a detailed view
  into the real-life statistics that impact and impede Black families from 
 realizing the dream of homeownership. The 2023 SHIBA report serves as a gu
 iding light for NAREB and the nation as we strive to implement strategic p
 olicies and address systemic barriers to homeownership and generational we

 e National Association of Real Estate Brokers(R) is to enhance the profess
 ional and business conditions of NAREB(R) Realtist(R) members by strengthe
 ning the consumer capacity of Black\, minority\, and emerging target marke
 t segments that Realtists(R) serve. NAREB promotes the real estate industr
 y in general\, utilizing economic\, political\, legal\, and social leverag
 e to remediate disparate and discriminatory housing and property ownership
  policies and practices prevailing in the United States. \n	GUEST SPEAKERS
 \n	\n	Dr. Courtney Johnson Rose\n	President\, NAREB\n	Dr. Courtney Johnson
  Rose serves as President of the National Association of Real Estate Broke
 rs\, the premier network of Black real estate professionals and one of the
  oldest minority trade associations in the country with over 100 chapters 
 nationwide. Courtney began her career as a project management consultant a
 t Accenture\, the worlds leading consulting company. In 2002\, she earned 
 a Texas real estate broker license and joined her familys real estate firm
  GEJ Development as a real estate developer and broker specializing in dev
 elopment services\, owner representation\, master planning\, and residenti
 al and commercial brokerage services. Since 2019\, Courtney has served as 
 CEO of GEJ.Courtney has been featured several times by Black Enterprise ma
 gazine and has appeared on the covers of Empower\, Real Estate Executive\,
  Houston Realtor(R)\, and National Realtor(R) publications\n	\n	\n	Tikola 
 McCree\n	President\, Charlotte Crown Realtist(R) Association\n	Tikola McCr
 ee comes from a performing arts background and an 18 year career in educat
 ion. She is currently a Real Estate Broker in the Greater Charlotte Area o
 f North Carolina with Keller Williams Select. She is the current President
  of Charlotte Crown REALTIST Association and has served as 2021 President 
 of the Union County Association of Realtors\, 2023 Chair of NC REALTORS Di
 versity\, Equity and Inclusion Committee\, 2023 NAR Fair Housing Policy Co
 mmittee andCanopy MLS Board of Directors.She is in the 2024 class of the N
 ational Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy and makes it her missio
 n to promote Democracy in Housing in all areas of her Real Estate Career.\
